Clear Creek Tahoe

Pleasant Valley Ranch is located just south of Markleeville in California, about 50 minutes south of our club. This stretch of Pleasant Valley Creek has substantial numbers of large (and easily seen) rainbow trout. It belongs to the Dressler family, who, like the Park family, have ranched Minden/Gardnerville area since the late 1800s.

Pleasant Valley Ranch has limited access (5 rods per day) and is best fished by using one of the guides who have a long standing relationship with the ranch and who know the water intimately. This is a relative small, freestone stream three miles in length stretching along beautiful alpine meadows.
