Lake Tahoe is truly a year-round playground. Few areas offer so many and varied recreation activities.

The clear blue waters of Lake Tahoe, combined with the grandeur of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, provide unlimited opportunities to explore and experience the great outdoors. Clear Creek owners and their families can take full advantage of everything the Lake Tahoe area has to offer.

As one of the West’s finest outdoor playgrounds, with 300 plus days of sunshine each year, the area offers daily choices which include jogging, walking and biking trails throughout the property.  One of our trailheads connects directly to the 165 mile long Tahoe Rim Trail, one of the nation’s pre-eminent alpine experiences.

Summer Lake Activities – Swimming, sailing, power boating, jet skiing, kayaking, waterskiing, fishing, scuba diving and, for the more adventurous, parasailing.
Active Lifestyle – The high country offers miles of hiking, biking and horseback riding on the scenic Tahoe Rim Trail, a 165-mile trail system navigating across Lake Tahoe’s most picturesque mountaintops.  Paved bike paths border much of Lake Tahoe; with some of the finest single track in the country, the area is a mecca for cyclists of all abilities.
Winter Activities – Home to the largest concentration of downhill ski resorts in North America (16), the Tahoe area is the ultimate winter playground for outdoor enthusiasts. Alpine and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, tubing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, ice skating, horse-drawn sleigh rides and dog sledding are just some of the activities you’ll find during the winter months. All 16 ski areas are within an hour’s drive of Clear Creek Tahoe, including Heavenly Mountain Resort, whose gondola is only three blocks from the Club’s Lake & Ski House. Those wishing to explore beyond Heavenly will find the world-class resorts of Squaw Valley, Alpine, North Star, Kirkwood and others just a short drive from home.
Area Activities – The surrounding areas offer a wide variety of unique and exciting activities, including camping and day trips to some of the country’s finest scenic treasures: Yosemite National Park, Tahoe’s Desolation Wilderness, and Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park. Entertainment options include: South Lake Tahoe’s Summer Concert Series, The Shakespeare Festival at the popular Sand Harbor on Lake Tahoe, and of course, the casinos, shops and entertainment venues of South Lake Tahoe. For those feeling adventurous, options include everything from parachuting, skydiving, hot-air ballooning, soaring and whitewater rafting to watching the Reno Rodeo/Cattle Drive and seeing the wild horses and burros of North Reno. For a more casual day, visit the local shops and civic attractions, including North Lake Tahoe, Reno, Carson City and the historic towns of Genoa and Virginia City.
