Our design philosophy springs from the unique natural beauty of our land. Everywhere there is a strong sense of obligation to tread lightly and carefully on this magnificent property. The entire planning and development team shares this view and along with a deep regard for responsible stewardship.
To preserve this magnificent setting and sustain the natural environment, Clear Creek Tahoe continues to incorporate the latest in green and sustainable technologies in all that we do.
With help from ARUP, Otis Bay Ecological and US Fish & Wildlife, our environmentally minded efforts include:
- 853 acres of permanent open space through a Conservation Easement with the Nature Conservancy
- Using recycled water for golf course irrigation
- Incorporating any harvested trees into onsite construction materials and land-sustaining compost
- Club buildings that employ local materials and artisans wherever possible
- Common area buildings that use solar and geothermal power where appropriate
- Building and Design Guidelines that encourage owners to adopt sustainable building and landscaping protocols
